cf.Data.maximum_absolute_value

Data.maximum_absolute_value(axes=None, squeeze=False, mtol=1, inplace=False, _preserve_partitions=False)[source]

Collapse axes with their maximum absolute value.

Missing data elements are omitted from the calculation.
